Dr Jasmina Mitrović Marić presented copies of her Letters of Credence to H. E. Vibeke Rist-Jensen, Head of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway

During a cordial conversation, the Head of Protocol wished the new Ambassador every success in carrying out her responsible duties and expressed confidence that her mandate would contribute to strengthening overall relations between Oslo and Belgrade.

The interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further enhancing the friendship between the two nations and to comprehensive cooperation between Serbia and Norway - certainly in the fields of politics and the economy, but also in cultural and academic diplomacy. Ms Rist-Jensen highlighted this as an area of particular expectation, given the Ambassador’s professional background, and expressed her pleasure at the meeting of the two cultures and their scientific potential.

With this meeting, the Ambassador began preparations for the presentation of her Letters of Credence and an audience with King Harald V.
