THE VIRTUAL MUSEUM OF SERBIA ARRIVES AT THE EMBASSY

It was our great pleasure to welcome to the Embassy Đorđe Aleksić, Acting Assistant Director of the Office for Public and Cultural Diplomacy, who, during his official visit to Norway, presented the “Virtual Museum of Serbia” project, an innovative and interactive platform showcasing Serbian history, art and tradition.

In a cordial conversation with the guest from Serbia, Ambassador Jasmina Mitrović Marić presented the numerous activities the Embassy is preparing in connection with the important jubilee to be marked in 2027, when Serbia and Norway will celebrate 110 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Serbia and the Kingdom of Norway. The Ambassador also outlined the Embassy’s activities in Iceland in preparation for 2028, when the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations will be commemorated.

It was agreed that the “Virtual Museum of Serbia” project would be presented in cooperation with Norwegian and Icelandic institutions and incorporated into a number of forthcoming activities, further enriching their cultural and educational content.
