Serbian–Norwegian–Swedish Literary Encounters

At the Parish Hall of the Church Community of St Basil of Ostrog in Oslo, on 8 and 9 November 2025, the second Serbian–Norwegian–Swedish Literary Encounters were held, organized by the Association of Serbian Creators of Scandinavia and Dan Media Norway

The Ambassador of Serbia to Norway, Dr Jasmina Mitrović Marić, emphasized the importance of cultural and academic diplomacy and announced that culture in dialogue - through art and education - will be one of the priorities during her mandate.

A representative of the Norwegian Ministry of Culture, Håkon Vinje, recalled the shared remembrance of the two nations’ suffering during the Second World War and emphasized the importance of preserving memorial sites.

Among the speakers were also Branko Dimeski, President of the Association of Serbian Creators of Scandinavia; Reidar Kabel, Mayor of the Våler municipality; and Denis Bojić, film director and Director of the Republika Srpska Memorial Center. On the first day, contemporary literary works by authors from Serbia, Republika Srpska, Norway, and Sweden were presented, while the second day featured films by Serbian filmmakers living in Scandinavia.
