At the monument to Serbs executed in Ulven in 1942, Ambassador Jasmina Mitrović Marić laid a wreath

Accompanied by prayers to the Lord and the message of their homeland - Serbia will never forget you - Ambassador Jasmina Mitrović Marić laid a wreath at the monument erected by the residents of the municipality of Os at their local cemetery, near Bergen.

This gravestone is unique in that it does not refer to Yugoslavs, but to Serbs - 27 in total - who were executed in 1942 because they were ill and, as such, deemed unfit for forced labor camps.

With great respect and care, the residents of the municipality of Os buried our compatriots, erected a monument in their honor, and inscribed their names, years of birth, and places of origin in Serbia - making this memorial unique among the remaining 18 sites dedicated to our internees held in labor camps in occupied Norway during the Second World War.
