Serbia and Norway Are Building Literary Corridors

The Third Serbian-Norwegian Literary Gatherings Were Held on April 17 and 18 in Norway, Organized by the Association of Serbian Creators of Scandinavia and Dan Media Norway

Våler Municipality hosted the gathering, and its mayor, Reidar Kaabbel, welcomed the Serbian artists as well as his colleague from Serbia, Bratislav Vučković, President of the Municipality of Palilula in Niš, and presented his local community.

Ambassador Dr Jasmina Mitrović-Marić opened the gathering by stressing that art, and literature above all, represents the most beautiful aspect of diplomacy, one that brings lives, worldviews, and beauty closer to readers wherever they may be.

She also proposed the twinning of Våler Municipality and the Municipality of Palilula in Niš, to the benefit of both communities, ahead of the 110th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Serbia and the Kingdom of Norway.

Priest and writer Dragan Jovanov delivered an address on the creative trinity of creator, inspiration, and work, inviting the audience to embark on an exploration of inspiration, its embodiment in the written word, and its very origin.
