A PEOPLE OF SAINT SAVA, UNITED AND SPEAKING WITH ONE THREEFOLD VOICE, FOLLOW THEIR SHEPHERD

Joy and pride in our youngest

Our largest single supplementary school, with over 300 students, celebrated its patron saint, Saint Sava, in front of nearly 1,000 attendees.

Following the address of Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Aleksandar Zeljković, the Saint Sava Day keynote address was delivered by Ambassador Dr Jasmina Mitrović Marić. Her poetically shaped messages, befitting a ceremonial address, were received with close attention and warm approval.

In a carefully prepared program—ranging from choral singing and thematic texts to recitations, an exhibition of visual artworks, and a folklore performance—all 300 students took part.

Great praise for the success of the Academy, and sincere gratitude for the exceptional work with the children, is owed to the teachers Milica Tomić, Gordana Čović-Jovanović, Dragana Simić, and to the religious education teacher Gordana Zeljković.

Parents also made a valuable contribution by preparing a traditional celebratory reception for the children and the audience. The Embassy’s patron-day gifts included books for the school library and maps of Serbia featuring a register of monasteries.
