METROPOLITAN DOSITEJ AT THE AMBASSADOR’S RESIDENCE

Ambassador Jasmina Mitrović Marić and Metropolitan Dositej exchanged commemorative gifts in a spirit of mutual respect and close cooperation between the diplomatic and ecclesiastical missions in Norway.

Special attention was devoted to the position of the Serbian diaspora in Norway, as well as to ways of further strengthening the community and preserving its spiritual and cultural identity. The discussion also addressed the important topic of the suffering of Serbian internees during the Second World War in the camps of occupied Norway -our new martyrs - and the importance of cultivating a culture of remembrance of their sacrifice.

The warmth and joy of the meeting reflected a genuine sense of unity in the shared mission of preserving the national and Saint Sava-inspired identity of our people in the diaspora.
