KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN THE ENERGY SECTOR – A BRIDGE FOR COOPERATION BETWEEN SERBIA AND NORWAY
A team of Serbian energy experts with extensive experience in Serbia and abroad visited the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Oslo following their participation in an international energy forum in Lillestrøm. Discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
The guests were welcomed by Ambassador Dr Jasmina Mitrović Marić, who highlighted the importance of connecting Serbian experts and companies with Norwegian partners. She also invited them to take part in the Embassy’s activities in 2027, when Serbia and Norway will mark 110 years of diplomatic relations.
Ivan Đurđević, a long-serving project manager at the Norwegian company OneCo in Stavanger, and Dragan Jovanov, who organised and hosted the meeting, introduced the guests to the particularities of the Norwegian market and opportunities to connect with business partners. The experience and contacts gained at this year’s ONS energy gathering in Stavanger proved especially valuable. ONS is one of the world’s leading energy industry events, and the Embassy was also represented there.
In a warm and productive atmosphere, the participants agreed to continue their dialogue and explore concrete opportunities for cooperation. The energy connecting Serbia and Norway comes not only from water, wind and other natural resources, but also from the knowledge, ideas and people who know how to turn them into the future.
