A DOUBLE OCCASION FOR UNITY AND CELEBRATION

PRESERVING FAITH, TRADITION AND COMMUNITY IN ROGALAND

On Saturday, 6 June 2026, the patronal feast of the Church of Saint Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena in Ålgård, as well as the patronal celebration of the Serbian Association “Ivo Andrić” of Rogaland, was solemnly observed.

In the presence of the President of the Serbian Association, numerous parishioners, children, and guests from across Norway, the Divine Liturgy was officiated by Protopresbyter Relja Bančević.

Part of the Divine Liturgy was conducted in Norwegian, reflecting the presence of Norwegian citizens who have embraced Orthodoxy and are active members of the Church community.

During the rich cultural and artistic programme, Tatjana Đurđević, President of the Serbian Association “Ivo Andrić”, presented the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Norway with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of its many years of successful cooperation in preserving Serbian culture and tradition. The award was received on behalf of the Embassy by Marijana Ognjanović.
