CELEBRATING STATEHOOD DAY (SRETENJE) WITH THE DIASPORA IN THE CAPITAL OF NORWAY

With a musical and theatrical workshop on the founding of the Serbian state and the values taught to us by our illustrious ancestors, we celebrated Sretenje – Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia in Oslo
This year’s celebration of our homeland’s birthday was dedicated to the youngest members of our diaspora. The program was hosted by Lazar Krajinović, while Ambassador Dr. Jasmina Mitrović-Marić and Priest Dragan Jovanov addressed the audience. In their remarks, they highlighted the dual significance of this great holiday as a true and essential bond between the Church, the state, and the people.
Although the workshop was intended for the youngest members of the diaspora, parents, teachers, clergy, and all those present also expressed their joy, curiosity, and pride, becoming part of this unique and, as they themselves attest, remarkable celebration of their homeland’s birthday.
