Ambassador meets with Business Iceland and members of the Serbian-Icelandic Chamber at the Iceland Chamber of Commerce to discuss EXPO 2027 and Serbia’s potential
During her first official visit to Iceland, Ambassador Jasmina Mitrović Marić took part in a meeting at the Iceland Chamber of Commerce as a guest of the Serbian-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce (SEIS), one of the sixteen bilateral chambers of commerce operating within the Iceland Chamber of Commerce.
Particular importance was given to the highly successful presentation of EXPO 2027 to the leadership of Business Iceland (“Íslandsstofa”), the agency directly responsible for Iceland’s participation in international exhibitions, including EXPO 2027.
The meeting also highlighted the numerous advantages of Iceland’s potential participation in the International EXPO 2027, to be held in the Serbian capital.
A mutual desire was expressed to work together on further improving economic cooperation between the two countries, with concrete initiatives presented for the institutionalisation of cooperation between the chambers of commerce of Serbia and Iceland.
The meeting was also attended by businesspeople of Serbian origin living in Iceland, as well as Icelandic businesspeople already operating in Serbia.
