Before travelling to the Republic of Serbia, please read here general entry requirements.

Citizens of Norway traveling to the Republic of Serbia do not need visas (up to 90 days).

All holders of  Norwegian travel documents for aliens or refugees require an entry visa for the Republic of SerbiaVisa proccessing time is at least 2 weeks.

If you do not possess an Norwegian passport or resident permit, please check here whether you need a visa.

Visa free entry for holders of foreign passports with valid visas or resident permits - requirements

At its meeting of 30 October 2014, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decision on visa free entry to the Republic of Serbia for holders of foreign passports having a valid Schengen, UK and other Member States' visa, or visa of the United States of America, and for holders of foreign passports having residence permit in the countries of the Schengen area, EU or the United States of America, which was published in the "Official Gazette of RS", No. 119 of 31 October 2014 and which entered into force on 8 November 2014.

If you hold a valid Norwegian residency permit or a Schengen visa permitting you to return to Schengen countries, you may enter Serbia without a visa and stay for 90 days within a 6 month period. Please be advised that your stay should not exceed the dates stated in the Norwegian residency permit/Schengen visa. Furthermore, please note that if you have a residency permit card, you should have it with you, as well as your passport, and present it upon request by the immigration authorities. Free entry is allowed only if you have valid passport with valid resident permit (Visa) inside valid passport or with Resident permit card.

Applying for a Visas

Visas can be requested by submitting an application to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia (Monday and Friday, 11-14h, No appointment necessary). Visa processing time is at least 2 weeks.

If you live far from Oslo, you can apply by post.  

TYPES OF VISAS

1) Short Stay Visa (Visa C)
2) Transit Visa (Visa B)


VISA C (Short stay in Serbia up to 90 days):
Short-stay visas are mainly issued for private visits, tourism, business as well as other travelling needs including a single, double or multiple entries into the Republic of Serbia.
The duration of an uninterrupted stay, and/or the total duration of successive visits of a alien with a short-stay visa shall not exceed 90 days within a period of six months which began on the day of the first entry.
A short-stay visa with the multiple entry option is issued with the validity of up to 6 months.

VISA C REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid passport (passport must be valid at least 90 days from issue date of visa)
  • Photo (Size 3,5 x 4,5 cm)
  • Completed visa application form
  • Invitation letter
    • for a private visit - invitation letter certified by the relevant authority of the Republic of Serbia
    • for a business visit - invitation from by a company in Serbia stating nature of the business and expected duration of the visit, as well as a letter from an british company which you are representing
  • for a tourist visit - a proof of payment for the trip issued by a travel agency (voucher or other type of payment receipt)
  • Letter from Employer
  • Return ticket or Itinerary (copy of International Driving License, Title and  Insurance if you travel by car)
  •  Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia
  • Health insurance
  • Visa fee 491 NOK


VISA B (Transit visa):
A transit visa is issued to all aliens planning for a single, double or multiple transits through the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
A transit visa is valid for up to six months in addition; the duration of stay in the country per one transit shall not exceed five days.
A transit visa may be issued to an alien who is in possession of the visa for entry into the destination country or the country through which he/she is transiting if his/her obligation to have that visa is not abolished by an international treaty. (Article 17 of the Law on Aliens)

VISA B REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid passport (passport must be valid at least 90 days from issue date of visa)
  • Photo (Size 3,5 x 4,5 cm)
  • Completed Visa Application Form
  • Entry visa for country you are entering after the Republic of Serbia. In case a visa is not required for that country, you will be asked to present other documents explaining the purpose of your visit there
  • Return ticket or Itinerary (copy of International Driving License, Title and Insurance if you travel by car)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia
  • Visa fee 491 NOK
