Ambassador Dragan Petrović met with Frode Daniels, Director of the Norwegian Directorate for Digital Affairs (DIGDIR), in Oslo on 21 October. During the meeting, experiences were exchanged regarding the introduction of new digital solutions and platforms to improve the functioning of public administration and governance, as well as the engagement of business and academic circles in this area. In particular, they discussed the steps that both sides are taking in terms of supporting projects for the development of artificial intelligence in the everyday lives of citizens, as well as international cooperation in this innovative field, to which Serbia is giving a significant stamp, including through the organization of the Annual Summit of the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence in December in Belgrade. Ambassador Petrović emphasized the importance and contribution of this initiative to further shaping the future of artificial intelligence on a global level, indicating that the participation of a Norwegian representative would be important and welcome, especially in the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice, given the level of technological development achieved and the wide application of concrete solutions in this area.
